Crystal Ball è il primo titolo del lavoro che poi diventerà Sign O’ The Times.
Verrà pubblicato e distribuito, come tutti sappiamo, nel 1998, ma si trasformerà in una raccolta di brani provenienti dalla cassaforte dei Paisley Park.
Nel 2000, ai fan che visitano il Paisley Park, vengono offerti alcuni brani inediti che potrebbero andare a costituire il seguito in Cristal Ball II.
